🌊 The "Real Deal" Scallops – From the Gulf of Maine
Tired of scallops that shrink and release white liquid when you sear them? That’s because they are treated with chemicals. At LO&W Seafood, we bring you the Maine Dayboat Scallops—the gold standard of the Atlantic.
These are "Dry" Scallops, meaning they are landed and packed without any citrus, phosphates, or chemicals. What you get is 100% pure, wild-caught ocean sweetness.
💎 What Makes Our Dayboat Scallops "Swee" (Excellent):
-
Dayboat Freshness: Harvested on small boats that return to shore within 24 hours. This means they are fresher than 99% of the scallops you find in supermarkets.
-
Wild-Caught & Untreated: No additives, no "plumping" with water. When you cook them, they don't shrink—they sear into a beautiful, golden-brown crust.
-
Thick & Juicy Texture: These jumbo scallops are famous for their sweet, buttery flavor and a "steak-like" texture that melts in your mouth.
🔥 Chef’s Secret for the Perfect Sear:
Because these are Dry Scallops, they are a dream to cook:
-
Pat Dry: Even though they are "dry," give them a quick pat with a paper towel.
-
High Heat: Get your pan smoking hot with a little oil.
-
The Golden Crust: Sear for 2 minutes per side. Confirm Plus Chop—you will get that restaurant-grade golden crust every single time.
-
Butter Baste: Toss in a knob of butter and some garlic at the last minute for a 5-star finish.

Frequently asked questions
Can I return or exchange this product if I'm not satisfied?
Fresh produce is a perishable commodity and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged without a reason unless there is a quality issue. However, if the issue is due to our fault (wrong item sent, significant weight shortage, or extremely poor quality), we promise a full refund or a free reshipment.
The pictures look so good, but will the actual product I receive be very small or of poor quality?
All product images on the details page are real photos, and each specification clearly indicates the [weight per piece/net weight per package]. We insist on accurate weight and will never misrepresent the advertised weight. The actual total weight you receive will only be more, not less.
Regarding "Storage and Preservation"
Live seafood (such as crabs and shellfish): Please consume on the same day. If not intended for immediate consumption, store in the packaging in the refrigerator (not frozen), covered with a damp towel, but do not soak in water.
Chilled/Frozen seafood: Please immediately place in the freezer (below -18℃). Do not refrozen after thawing.
Transportation issues
We strive to ensure all orders are processed and shipped promptly, and we are committed to guaranteeing your goods arrive as quickly as possible. All items come with free shipping and can be delivered within 24 hours.
There are three core indicators for fresh seafood: color, aroma, and texture. Fresh seafood has bright red gills, clear eyes, and springs back quickly when pressed; otherwise, it is not fresh. We conduct a three-level screening process on each batch of seafood, and any batch that fails to meet the standards (more than 5%) is returned.
